Recycling of Materials

Cardboard Recycling

Cardboard, also referred to as corrugated cardboard, uncontaminated medical waste boxes and other waste boxes that enter our facility are a recyclable material that we recycle to save the environment by keeping it from finding its way into our landfills. Cardboard recycling is the reprocessing and reuse of thick sheets or stiff multilayered papers that have been used, discarded or regarded as waste. Cardboard boxes are usually heavy-duty or thick-sheets of paper known for their durability and hardness. Examples of cardboard include packaging boxes, egg cartoons, shoe boxes, and cereal boxes. Recycling is good for us as it not only saves our environment from deterioration by reducing pollution but also conserves valuable resources and creates jobs. Cardboard recycling is done as a way of keeping the environment clean and green. The steps below provide an explanation of the cardboard recycling system. We bail the cardboard that enter our facility and send off to larger recyclers such as Republic Waste or waste management for further recycling.

Aluminum Recycling

Aluminum come into our facility in one or tow ways. Source separated and unseparated with food containers. Separated aluminum cans go through our sterilization process and are baled. Unseparated aluminum cans and other materials are separated after processing the along with food wastes and sorted out and baled. All baled aluminum go out to larger recyclers.

Scrap Metal Recycling.

We have some scrap metal arriving at our facility along with APHIS Regulated Garbage and RMW. We take our environment responsibility seriously by separating scrap metals after processing and keeping it out of landfills. We send these off to scrap metal centers where they are further separated and then sell the scrap to larger super collectors where it is shredded and then melted in furnaces at high temperatures to produce blocks, ingots or sheets to be sold to manufacturers of metal products.
